Puma have unveiled the new Newcastle United kit for the 2011/12 season which is set to be released on Thursday May 19th.
The biggest change is that Puma have given a predominantly black shirt two white stripes which they say reflect the two vertical stripes on the Newcastle shield crest, instead of the traditional black/white stripes. While the goalkeeper’s kit is a classy looking Gold/White jersey.
Puma have also created a limited edition version with a gold badge which is available exclusively to members of the Newcastle United 12th man club and unavailable to anyone else.
Roger Harrison, Marketing Director of PUMA had this to say about the new kit; ‘We have worked hard to embrace the traditions of the clubs history whilst simplifying them with a modern twist. This season’s kit design moves the traditional black and white stripe on with the Newcastle club crest becoming the focus.’
